Speaker: Andrew Proctor, Executive Director of Literary Arts
"Literary Arts in 2017: Striving for Equity in Cultural Work"
Andrew Proctor is the Executive Director of Literary Arts, Inc., a nonprofit literary center based in downtown Portland, OR, that serves thousands of readers and writers each year.
Previously, Proctor was the Membership and Operations Director at PEN American Center, a global human rights organization based in New York City that seeks to defend writers wherever they are imperiled. He has also been an Associate Editor at HarperCollins and worked in the Cultural Affairs office at the Canadian High Commission in London (UK). He has a bachelor's degree in English and music from Concordia University in Montreal (Canada) and a master's degree in English from the University of East Anglia (UK).
